2019 Wild Thing 5k/10k Trail Race & Walk
May 23 @ 9:00 am - 12:00 pm
Join your friends at PLEASANT VALLEY WILDLIFE SANCTUARY on Sunday, June 23, for Wild Thing 2019! This year’s fundraiser includes two events: a wooded 5k/10k trail race, and a guided trail walk through the woods.
We rely on local fundraising efforts to support our conservation efforts and educational programming throughout Berkshire County; your participation in this annual event helps us grow and expand that work.
All participants who register by May 20 are guaranteed a t-shirt and all are encouraged to join us for the post-race celebration in the big red barn.
Walk on the Wild Side (New!)
This is a guided, 30-minute trail walk through the woods around the beaver pond, which starts and ends at the Pleasant Valley Barn. It’s perfect for families waiting for their 5k/10k runner to cross the finish line, or for anyone who wants to spend time in nature and help raise money for a great cause! Appropriate for all ages; free for children under age 10.
→ Begins at 9:00 am at the Pleasant Valley Barn. Get details & register >
5k/10k Trail Race
This is a wooded trail race that starts and ends at Pleasant Valley. The 5k course is great for runners or walkers; runners can challenge themselves with the longer 10k distance. Kennedy Park is the perfect location for a trail race with almost 15 miles of trails through hardwood forests and scenic views of the Berkshires. The race follows carriage roads and single track with a variety of elevation in both the 10k and 5k distances
→ The trail race will be capped at 300 runners. Register early to guarantee a spot!
